7 Days Twiga Safari & Migration Experience (Mara River Season)
This 7 day safari is designed around the Great Migration river crossing season in the northern Serengeti National Park. During August and September, large herds of wildebeest and zebras gather along the Mara River, creating dramatic crossing scenes. The journey also includes Tarangire and Central Serengeti for a complete and well paced safari experience.

Day1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Pickup from your lodge in Arusha, such as Planet Lodge, followed by a drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive in this park known for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.

Day 2: Tarangire to Karatu
After breakfast, continue with a game drive in Tarangire until late afternoon. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the day, offering excellent viewing opportunities. Later, drive to Karatu for relaxation.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park (Central)
After breakfast, drive toward Central Serengeti, passing through scenic highlands and entering the vast plains. Enjoy a game drive en route as you begin exploring the wildlife-rich Seronera area.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Central Serengeti
Spend the day exploring Central Serengeti, known for its high concentration of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The area offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing.

Day 5: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti

Day 6: Full Day Migration Safari at Mara River
Spend the entire day in Northern Serengeti following the migration. This is the peak time to witness wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River, often accompanied by crocodiles and predators nearby. Your guide will position you at key crossing points for the best possible experience.
